Gayle Melrose

Funeral Director

I began my working life in the medical world at the Auckland Hospital in 1969. My position was in the Histopathology laboratory dealing with surgical and post mortem tissues in preparation for the pathologist diagnosis.

I left the laboratories to begin my family and re-entered that profession in the 1980 and 1990’s. I branched out into other careers in Travel and then Marketing and Sales to Corporate Companies and in the offshore super yacht industry where my sporting passion in the yachting arena proved beneficial.

I have two daughters and a large family of grandchildren and close immediate family, with two sisters and a brother. Two of my siblings reside in the BOP.

The move to the funeral home business was instigated by losing 3 special people in my life, my husband at age 43 years, my mother and recently my father of 95 years. The service we received on all three funerals was of a high standard in both services and support.

I would love to carry that same high standard of service and support to families who choose our funeral home for their loved ones.
